Obtaining surplus chemicals:

• • Check the inventory to see if your chemical is available in surplus (list is alphabetical)

  • Contact Heather Perry at (650) 723-1308 or hperry@stanford.edu with the following information:

    • Your name, your lab, and lab location

    • The item(s) you would like the receive

    • The quantity of item(s) needed

  • Should be delivered to our lab within a week

  • Add all new chemicals to inventory

  • EVERYTHING IS FREE!

Donating Chemicals:

• • Criteria for chemicals that can be donated:

    • in original container (open or unopened) with label in readable condition

  • Get surplus sticker from our Lab's Chem Safety Office - we can get more by contacting Heather Perry (info above)

  • Complete online pick-up form (same as waste pickup)

  • Make sure chemicals are properly segregated in the waste area

  • Items will be picked up within two weeks (remove from our lab's inventory!)
